New Delhi police have fined a man for playing music on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The man, identified as Raghav Swati Pruthi, recently bought a Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special that has a factory fit audio system. He took to Facebook and narrated the incident and said that he was on his bike at Delhi's Tilak Nagar area, wearing a helmet, and listening to some tunes on the Glide's music system. As he started his motorcycle after a traffic signal turned green, he was pulled over by a police car and the cops asked him for his license.

The cops thereafter asked him for the bike papers and asked him to head to the police station and Pruthi abided by that.

 "As a citizen, I followed what I was asked to do. When I went inside, they started shouting that how can you ride a bike which has speakers and saddle bags. This bike is modified. I told them it is a pre-installed bike and it's not a Bullet. But Tilak Nagar ACP and SI kept on saying that it is an illegal bike and you can't ride this bike," Raghav mentioned in his post.

Despite showing the documents, Raghav was fined. In his post, he has also mentioned that after going to the police station, he was yelled at by the cops and was challenged by them. Raghav was fined under the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 that came into effect on September 1.

'Challan this bike and get your targets done'

Raghav Harley-Davidson Road Glide was registered on August 22, which makes it a month old. He then went on to add that after the cops started shouting at him at the police station, he told the cops that the speakers and saddlebags were pre-installed. Despite that, the ACP Tilak Nagar and SI kept saying, "It is an illegal bike you can’t ride this bike and you need permission." The rider also showed them the product page of the Road Glide Special on Harley-Davidson India's website, citing that it was a stock machine with no modifications. In his long Facebook post, Raghav said that the cops denied and he was hurt when the police said, "challan this bike and get your targets done."
