Delhi odd-even scheme: Disabled people exempted, confirms CM Kejriwal

Gearing up for implementing an odd-even scheme early next month, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday anunced that persons with disabilities will be exempted from scheme. Replying to a tweet by Major DP Singh, a Kargil War veteran, Kejriwal said that people with disabilities will be exempted from scheme.
Major DP Singh described his own problem as he is an amputee and he cant sit in metro with an artificial leg due to ill-designed seats. After Kejriwal's positive response, former army man quoted chief minister's tweet and wrote, "Thank you, @ArvindKejriwal sir. I appreciate your kind response and support. Jai Hind."

odd-even vehicle rationing scheme will be implemented in national capital after Diwali, from vember 4 to 15. Delhi government has alrey anunced an exemption to women under scheme. private CNG vehicles will be banned during scheme period.
As per reports, Kejriwal said that unlike previous occasions, privately owned CNG vehicles will this time t be exempted. decision has been taken keeping in mind ir safety, Kejriwal ded.

“Women driving alone, cars having all women as occupants and women accompanied by children d less than 12 years will be exempted,” he said.
A flagship scheme of Aam Ami Party government, aimed at tackling pollution, it was first implemented in 2015. scheme entails cars with odd and even number plates to run on alternate days. For last few years, national capital has been grappling with smog every winter, raising health concerns.

It was also reported that Delhi government is likely to exempt two-wheelers from ambit of vehicle rationing method in line with suggestion of Transport department.
