New Delhi: The national capital is on high alert after a powerful bomb explosion was reported near a CRPF school in Rohini's Prashant Vihar area on Sunday. Shortly after the blast, teams from the NIA, NSG, CRPF, and Delhi Police arrived at the scene for an immediate investigation. Authorities suspect a Khalistani connection with the blast, as an online post claimed responsibility for the explosion, which sent shockwaves across the national capital. Delhi Police has officially written to Telegram app authorities, requesting detailed information on the channel 'Justice League India,' which claimed responsibility for the recent blast.

The post, which included a video of the blast along with ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ watermark, has raised concerns about potential links to separatist elements. Telegram has not responded yet.

Delhi Blast: No Casualties Reported

Despite the intensity of the explosion, no injuries were reported as the school was closed on Sunday. The blast, however, caused multiple damage to the school’s wall, shattered nearby shop windows, and damaged several parked cars.

Possible Khalistani Connection

Authorities are probing a potential link to pro-Khalistan separatists after a post by Justice League India surfaced on social media. The post included a video of the explosion with the message "Khalistan Zindabad" and warned of retaliatory attacks against Indian agencies targeting Khalistani supporters.

"If Indian coward agency and their master think they can hire filthy goons to target our members to silence our voice then they live in fools world. They can't imagine how close we are to them and how capable we are to strike anytime #KhalistanZindabad #JLI," the Justice League India said in the post along with the clip.

Investigative Teams Onsite

Following the blast, teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), CRPF, and Delhi Police arrived at the site. Forensic experts collected samples, while bomb disposal units scanned the area for additional explosives. A sample of white powder, suspected to contain ammonium nitrate, was sent for analysis.

Residents Share Their Accounts

Local residents described the explosion as “intense,” with vibrations felt hundreds of meters away. Anita Singh, a resident who lives near the school, said, "I felt the vibrations in my house. It could have been a disaster if it wasn’t Sunday."

The FSL and NSG teams inspected the spot and lifted samples, while police filed a case under sections of BNS on charges of "mischief through explosion" and under the Explosives Act.

NSG commandos deployed robots to scour the area for more explosive materials.

Samples of "white powder" and soil collected from the spot were sent to the laboratory to ascertain the bomb's composition.

"The white powder could be a mixture of ammonium nitrate and chloride," a senior police officer said.

The officer said the perpetrator "intentionally" selected the spot to not harm the people but to send a message.

In a statement, police said they received a PCR call at 7.47 am regarding a loud blast.
