Delhi Police arrests Nandu gang members after 15-minute gun-fight

Four robbers were arrested in New Delhi today for carrying out an armed robbery in the Dwarka area. The members are believed to be members of the Nandu Gang

Four armed robbers were arrested in New Delhi on Monday for carrying out an armed robbery in Dwarka area. Sources said police team of southwest Delhi was working on a tip. According to tip, four members of Nandu gang were planning to commit an armed robbery in Dwarka area. After Delhi Police received tip, a team was formed to nab thieves.

“ police expected criminals to open fire after being confronted by Delhi police team in Roshanara area of Dwarka.  police asked m to surrender but inste, y opened fire at police team in a bid to flee from crime scene.  We too launched a counter-attack. cross-firing went on for fifteen minutes,” said a source.

After a cross-firing of fifteen minutes, police team took all four members of gang into custody. arrested culprits were identified as Gulshan, Amit Guliya, Anil and Balu. y have been arrested under arms act, attempt to murder, extortion, robbery, kidnapping, and or cases.

Accused believed to be a part of Nandu Gang

All four accused are believed to have been part of Nandu gang. All arrested criminals will be produced before Dwarka court. Delhi police is planning to seek a police remand from court to furr interrogate criminals.

Early on Monday morning, Delhi Police arrested ar shooter who is believed to have been a member of same gang. shooter identified as Kapil Sangwan was arrested by Special cell when he was on pretext of carrying out a robbery. He was arrested by cops after a long chase and a round of open firing. During open firing, culprit also suffered a leg injury. A case under various IPC sections was registered against him by special cell.
