On Monday, Supreme Court slammed authorities for ir failure to curb pollution in Delhi-NCR stated that people are losing precious years of ir lives due to pollution.

'It is too much'
top court called pollution in Delhi-NCR as atrocious and said one is safe even inside homes. "It is too much. one is safe even inside ir house. It is atrocious," bench said. People are being vised t to come to Delhi due to pollution, state governments are responsible for this. "You are asking people to die. Your states (Punjab and Haryana) are also bly affected. Is this ministration left in Punjab and Haryana? Every year this is happening. We will fasten liability of states and panchayats also," bench said.

Delhi government's Odd-Even scheme to tackle pollution
Delhi government has implemented Odd-Even scheme from Monday in a bid to curb air pollution. scheme entails that vehicles with odd and even number plates will ply on alternate days. It has commenced from Monday and will continue till vember 15. Women-driven vehicles, cars ferrying school children, taxis, ministers of Central government have been exempted from ambit of this scheme. However, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his ministerial colleagues will abide by Odd-Even rule. dressing media on Monday, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia claimed that re was high compliance pertaining to this scheme and stated that 192 challans h been issued.
