Delhi's air quality improves to 'moderate' category with AQI at 190

Air quality in Delhi on Wednesday morning showed a slight improvement with the air quality index falling in the ‘moderate’ category.

Meanwhile, Noida recorded an AQI of 219 (poor) and Gurugram 169 (moderate). statement said that predominant surface wind is likely to come from Northwest directions in Delhi with wind speeds 12-16 kmph becoming calm in evening, with clear sky and mist in morning on October 26. 

This comes three days after ‘very poor’ air quality in Delhi-NCR region due to a combination of low temperatures, calm winds, and farm fires in neighbouring states. national capital’s AQI was recorded in 'poor' category, with AQI at 231.

Meanwhile, national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 16 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), maximum temperature in region is likely to settle at 31 degrees Celsius during day.
