Delhi schools to remain shut on November 14 & 15, following EPCA recommendation
Due to heavy pollution in Delhi Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority has issued recommendations for the state and the adjoining areas.

Following repetitive dip in Air Quality Index of national Capital, Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority has issued recommendations for state and joining areas. authority has also mentioned that schools should remain closed for next 2 days and industries using coal and or such fuels and hot mix plants should remain closed till vember 15.
Steps taken to combat pollution
After pollution levels rose again, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) deployed water sprinklers in order to curb situation on Wednesday. NDMC began sprinkling process on Feroz Shah Ro to settle dust. se steps were taken after it was ticed that at 11 in morning, air quality index (AQI) was 476. Furr, at Dhirpur, air quality was 416 while at Delhi University it was clocked at 433. In famous Chandni Chowk area of National Capital, AQI was relatively low with 381, which falls in very poor category and at Lodhi ro, it was 457.

In consideration of situation at hand, locals of region have also been urging government to take steps to control it. While interacting with a news ncy, locals at Lodhi Ro spoke about rising levels of pollution and asked government to take strong steps in direction of controlling rising pollution. A local also said that pollution has spiked again and that odd-even scheme should be extended. He also mentioned that it becomes suffocated during morning walks. People have also been pointed out how situation is worse for those who suffer from respiratory problems.

On a related te, Supreme Court, on Wednesday, criticised Centre over deteriorating air quality in Delhi and asked government to find a solution to problem of air pollution. It asked Centre to explore Hydrogen based fuel techlogy to find a solution to reduce air pollution in rth India & Delhi-NCR. In reply to that, Centre also told Supreme Court that it is exploring techlogy, including that from Japan and is trying to tackle air pollution. Furr, it has been decided that Centre will submit a report on issue by December 3.

Delhi Government, in order to combat worsening pollution situation, h implemented odd-even rule from vember 4 to vember 15 to control rising pollution levels in state. Delhi Chief Minister has repeatedly gone on to blame burning of stubble by farmers of neighbouring states to be responsible for smog and rising pollution levels.
