New Delhi: An overcast sky enveloped New Delhi as heavy rainfall triggered significant traffic jams across the city. With the weather department forecasting continued showers throughout the day, the city has been placed under a 'yellow' alert by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
'Yellow' alert indicates be aware as the conditions will worsen, causing disruptions to daily life.
Delhi has recorded a minimum temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD. The humidity level stands at a high 85 percent, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
Amid these weather challenges, social media has been flooded with videos of traffic jams across the city.
Commuters have shared numerous photos and videos on Twitter, highlighting the severe congestion as rain continues to impact roadways and commuting patterns.
