Delhi Water Cut: Rohini To Face 16-Hour Supply Disruption on November 11 | Check Timings

Delhi Water Cut: re will be water supply in parts of national capital's Rohini area for 16 hours on vember 11 due to maintenance work, Delhi Jal Board said on Saturday.

affected areas would include Rohini Sector-6, Rohini Sector-7, Rohini Sector-8 and ir joining areas.

" work of installation of flow meter at 700 mm dia. outlet line of Rohini Sector-7 BPS is proposed to take up on vember 11 from 10 am onwards for 16 hours. refore, water supply will t be available in evening and may be available at low pressure in morning of vember 12," Delhi Jal Board said.

Due to repair work, water supply will be stopped, and refore, residents of affected areas are vised to make judicious use of water.

Water treatment plants (WTPs) at Sonia Vihar and Bhagirathi struggled to cope with ammonia content in Yamuna's raw water. High ammonia levels in Yamuna are indicative of high industrial lo or sew disposal in its water. 

DJB's plants can treat up to 1ppm of ammonia in raw water through chlorine, but chlorination beyond this limit les to production of toxic chloramine compounds. Thus, water production at treatment plants was hit when ammonia levels breached 1ppm mark.
