134 flights, 22 trains delayed as dense fog engulfs Delhi-NCR

The cold-wave conditions continued to grip the national capital with the minimum temperature settling at 6 degree Celsius in the city.

New Delhi: The Delhi-NCR on Thursday woke up to a foggy morning which affected train operations in the national capital. The dense fog led to lower visibility in several areas. As many as 22 trains scheduled to arrive at Delhi railway stations, are running late. 

Fog disrupts air traffic in Delhi

Due to low visibility, operations at Delhi Airport were also hit with many flights facing delays. As many as 134 flights including, international ones, have been delayed. “Delhi Airport is facing delays affecting approximately 134 flights, both (domestic and international arrivals and departures, due to dense fog,” reported news agency ANI quoting Delhi Airport FIDS (Flight Information Display System). 

Temperature dips to 6 degree Celsius

The cold-wave conditions continued to grip the national capital with the minimum temperature settling at 6 degree Celsius in the city. 

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi will continue to be enveloped by "dense to very dense" fog during the night and early morning on Thursday and Friday. Dense fog has been prevailing in the city since Monday.
