Dermatologist Cleared After Allegation of Inappropriate Touching at Uttar Pradesh Nursing Home
A dermatologist was cleared of inappropriate touching allegations after CCTV footage showed he examined the patient from outside the cabin.
In a recent development in Uttar Pradesh, a dermatologist at a private nursing home has been exonerated following accusations of inappropriate touching by a patient. The allegations emerged from a widely circulated video on social media, which depicted the woman alleging that the dermatologist had touched her inappropriately during an examination.
Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena confirmed the findings on Saturday, stating that the initial investigation and analysis of CCTV footage cleared the doctor of the accusations. According to Meena, the woman accused the dermatologist of inappropriately touching her under the guise of a medical examination.
The dermatologist clarified that the patient, who visited the nursing home with a skin issue, was first examined by a female staff member in a private cabin. The examination was conducted in the presence of the woman's husband. The dermatologist himself inspected the patient using a magnifying lens from outside the cabin.
After receiving her medication, the patient left the nursing home but returned approximately 30 minutes later to make the allegations, creating a disturbance at the facility.
Following these events, Meena, along with District Magistrate Umesh Pratap Singh and the nursing home owners, held a meeting to address the situation. Instructions were issued to ensure that all CCTV cameras on the premises remain operational, and a team has been assigned to regularly inspect the nursing home to maintain oversight.
The case highlights the importance of proper surveillance and procedural adherence in maintaining transparency and trust in medical practices.
