New Delhi: Aviation watchdog Director General of Civil Aviation Director Vikram Dev Dutt has been transferred to the coal ministry where he will take charge as secretary in the wake of a series of bomb threat messages. This comes after reports surfaced stating that a senior Air India official allegedly ignored some of the recent bomb threats that were sent to the airline, compromising required protocols that are to be followed concerning passengers' safety.

Following the series of continuous bomb hoax threats, especially to Air India in the past few days some of which the DGCA was not aware of but should have given the serious nature of the threats, the aviation watchdog has transferred Vikram Dev Dutt.

This has highlighted a security clearance oversight by the DGCA. Vikram Dutt has also been transferred since he was under the scanner due to the CAG report.
