Diarrhoea Outbreak In Jharkhand: 36 Fresh Cases Reported In East Singhbhum, 1 Death So Far

As many as 36 cases of diarrhoea have been reported from Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district an official statement said on Monday.

East Singhbhum: As many as 36 cases of diarrhoea have been reported from Jharkhand ’s East Singhbhum district an official statement said on Monday. 

Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal directed team to quickly he to Kashidih Tola in Sunderpur village to ensure patients receive appropriate treatment.

Dr As, an epidemiologist on team, said that villagers are experiencing stomachaches, vomiting, and diarrhea.

36 Cases of Diarrhoea Reported In Jharkhand

Among 36 affected individuals, 13 were mitted to Patamda Community Health Centre, seven to Ganga Memorial Hospital, three to Gurunanak Hospital, one to Bandwan, and anor was referred to MGM Hospital.

“ condition of rest of patients, who were being treated in village itself, were stated to be stable,” he said.

1 Killed Due To Diarrhoea 

A 60-year-old woman passed away from diarrhea in village on October 21, and shortly after, anor case emerged in Kashidih Tola on October 26.

He mentioned that water samples from three tube wells in Kashidih Tola were collected for testing and instructed block ministration to arrange for drinking water from an alternative source.
