India-China finish disengagement at Patrol points 14, 15 & 17-A; Pangong Tso next: Sources
Indian army sources on Sunday, said that ongoing engagement between India-China have resulted in complete disengagement at Patrolling Point 14, 15, and 17-A.

As talks between India and China are on, Indian Army sources on Sunday, said that ongoing dialogue between two sides has resulted in complete disengment at Patrolling Point 14, 15, and 17-A. y said that military and diplomatic talks have resulted in development and a meeting between senior military commanders is expected in coming week to work out modalities of Pangong Tso lake area.

Earlier on July 24, 17th meeting of Working Mechanism for Consultation & Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) was held. While Indian delegation was led by Ministry of External Affairs' Joint Secretary (East Asia), Director-General of Boundary and Oceanic Department of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs represented or side. During meeting, both sides reviewed situation in India-China border areas and ongoing disengment process along LAC. y agreed that this was necessary for smooth development of bilateral relations.
In an important development, two nations agreed that ar meeting of senior military commanders shall be held soon to work out steps for ensuring complete disengment and de-escalation along with restoration of peace and tranquility in border areas.

Violent clash at LAC
20 Indian Army soldiers including a Commanding Officer were martyred when a violent faceoff took place on June 15 when de-escalation process was underway in Galwan Valley. As per Editor-in-Chief of Chinese newspaper Global Times, Chinese side also suffered casualties during physical clash. Both sides have held multiple rounds of diplomatic and military level meetings to resolve situation. After visit of PM Modi to Lakh, re has been a lot of progress on disengment at LAC.
