DMRC’s New ‘Make In India’ Metro Train Set, For Phase 4 Operations, Arrives In Delhi

New Delhi: first Metro train set for Delhi Metro’s Phase 4 operations, on Friday, arrived in national capital marking a significant development for Delhi's commuters. latest development of Metro train set arrival in Delhi also marked a crucial milestone in progress of Phase 4 of Delhi Metro. As per DMRC officials, with completion of fourth phase, connectivity across Delhi will be enhanced and it also tends to provide world-class services to passengers.

According to Delhi Metro officials, newly arrived train set comprises six coaches, which will undergo a testing and certification process before commencing operations on its route. Notably, DMRC is set to receive a total of 312 Metro train coaches, which will make 52 Metro trains for its Phase-4 priority corridors, as part of RS-17 contract.

Metro trains, which arrived in national capital, are designed for safe speeds of up to 95 kmph and are also compatible with driverless operations, aligning with Delhi Metro's efforts to provide modern and enhanced services to commuters.

A DMRC official stated that Phase 4 expansion of Delhi Metro will d 86 kilometres of new Metro lines across five corridors, with three corridors currently under construction and two in pre-tendering stages.
