A stray dog from Pune, who fell into a 40-foot deep tank was rescued by RESQ’s team and released on the land. The RESQ team shared the video of the whole rescue process on their social media. As per the non-profit organisation, RESQ rescues “injured & abandoned animals in Pune (India) & work towards reducing human-animal conflict. Together, we can create a world free of animal suffering!”.
Inside the video
In the video shared by RESQ, we see that the team members of the NGO after climbing and walking through the narrow edges of the walls reach the brink of the tank. After finding a correct spot to venture inside the tank, one of the team members is seen wearing a rescue gear and getting inside the tank with the help of a lever-pully mechanism. This member, along with a net approaches the dog within the tank and tries to capture him. Even though the dog gets restless for a while, they manage to tame him and bring outside the tank, on the safe ground.
Media reports claim that this tank is a dried water purification container and the dog was caught inside it for nearly six to eight days. The people living in the vicinity saw the dog caught within the tank and used to throw food for him, for his survival. Reportedly, one of these spectators approached RESQ and they eventually saved the dog. Netizens expressing their joy took to Twitter and thanked the RESQ team for their efforts.
