Downpour leads to traffic jams in Delhi

Heavy rains lashed large swas of national capital on Tuesday, disrupting traffic at several places in Delhi, officials said.
Residents shared on social media pictures and videos of rainwater gushing into ir houses and vehicles navigating waterlogged ros.
Delhi Police posted alerts on Twitter to inform commuters about traffic in national capital.

"re is heavy waterlogging on Ring ro near WHO. carriway of Bhairon ro leing to Mathura ro has also caved in, blocking entire traffic. Traffic has been diverted," a senior police officer said.
traffic coming from Akshardham towards Sarai Kale Khan to furr go through Barapulla, traffic coming from Ashram side towards Akshardham to furr go through Pushta ro, Geeta colony flyover, police said.
"Motorists coming from Ashram side are also being vised to take DND, Mayur Vihar, ida Link ro, Akshardham, Pushta ro. vehicle is being allowed towards ITO from Nizamuddin Khatta," y said.
Traffic is likely to remain heavy at and around Sarai Kale Khan which is being regulated, y said.
On Sunday, traffic was also disrupted due to heavy waterlogging after rains.
