The Dussehra Air Show brought great delight to the people of Mysuru with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family attending the event on the eve of Dussehra at the torchlight parade ground in Banni Mantap stadium. The air show was conducted by the Indian Air Force.
In an official statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Monday, CM Siddaramaiah extended gratitude to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for his immediate response to organising the air show.
"The air show was truly impressive, and I must credit Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for his immediate response to my discussions during my recent visit to Delhi. Thanks to his prompt action, today's air show was a grand success, delighting the people. Happy Vijayadashami Ayudha Puja to the entire nation," the statement said, quoting the Karnataka CM.

Siddaramaiah also shared his plans for the development of Maharani College in Mysore, underlining the importance of enhancing the education sector. He allocated funds for various departments- 17 crores for Arts College, 51 crores for Science College, 99 crores for hostels, and the reallocation of 40 crores for Commerce College.
Addressing the persistent drought problem in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah provided reassurance that essential steps were being taken to ensure the supply of drinking water and fodder. He underscored the significance of maintaining a continuous supply of drinking water. Additionally, he refuted claims of an artificial electricity shortage, emphasising that power generation is contingent on coal capacity and domestic coal production constraints.
In response to the allegations made by former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, Siddaramaiah dismissed the accusations as groundless and characterized them as "unfounded" or "artificial," implying a potential lack of comprehension of the energy sector.
