According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a strong 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan-India border region on Tuesday at about 4:31 pm. As per reports, earthquake h hit at a depth of 40 km.

According to United States Geological Survey (USGS), epicentre was 3 kilometres from New Mirpur city, capital of Mirpur district and largest city of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, as per reports.
Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Delhi-NCR, Jammu and Kashmir, in rth India and parts of Pakistan on Tuesday at 4:35 pm. As per European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), earthquake was of magnitude 6.1 at Richter scale that struck 173 km rth-West of Lahore, Pakistan. re were immediate reports of casualties from earthquake.

Earthquake hits Doda and Kishtwar districts
Earlier, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake h hit Doda and Kishtwar districts of Chenab Valley region in Jammu on September 8. As per reports, earthquake happened around 8 in morning and lasted for a few seconds. This led to people panicking, and people rushed out of ir homes. According to officials, earthquake was at latitude 33 degrees rth and longitude 67.1 East. It was reported that re has been casualty or dam to property anywhere. "As of w, re is immediate report of any casualty or dam to property," Doda SSP Mumtaz Ahmed said.
