'Erratic power supply hampering border domination': IG BSF to J&K Lt. Governor
IG BSF Jammu Frontier NS Jamwal urged J&K Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to look into the erratic power supply to the border lights and prevent frequent breakdowns.

Inspector General Border Security Force Jammu Frontier NS Jamwal on Wednesday requested Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Goverr Maj Sinha to look into matter of erratic power supply to border lights and prevent frequent breakdowns as same is hampering border domination.
“On September 9, 2020, Maj Sinha, Lt Goverr visited BSF border outpost( Bobiya) on International Border in Samba and reviewed security setup. He was accompanied by N S Jamwal IG BSF Ftr HQ Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, IAS Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Mukesh Singh IGP Jammu and or officers of civil ministration and BSF. N S Jamwal IG BSF Ftr HQ Jammu briefed to Maj Sinha, hon'ble Lt Goverr about border domination grid, assessment on threat perception and various measures undertaken to strengn border protection grid,” BSF statement ded.

'Maj Sinha interacted with villrs'
It furr ded Maj Sinha, Lt Goverr interacted with BSF officers and commanders and stressed that government recognises unparalleled contribution of BSF towards national security. He exuded confidence in measures taken by BSF to safeguard life and property of people and to prevent transborder crime. IG BSF also emphasized upon Lt Goverr to look into helping BSF clearing of wild growth through MNREGA scheme, to insist farmers to carry out farming near zero line ahe of fencing, timely completion of various projects under border works.
“During visit Maj Sinha, Lt Goverr also interacted with villrs and paid attention to problems being faced by villrs of border area. Lt Goverr was very impressed with professionalism of BSF officers and Jawan by which y are performing ir duties well and assured to solve all issues which came into tice in front of him,” BSF statement ded.

“ local residents of Bobiya and or Border Vills apprised Lt Goverr about ir concerning issues and sought his intervention for ir early redressal. y requested him to review distance fixed for border area reservation and demanded rationalization of same. y also raised issue of cultivation of land beyond fencing. Lt Goverr gave a patient hearing to issues of border residents and assured m that all ir genuine concerns and demands would be taken up for consideration. He asked m to cultivate ir land beyond fencing and furr assured m that Government will extend all possible assistance to farmers for extracting optimum benefits out of land beyond fencing. Lt Goverr asked BSF to cooperate with locals in resolving ir issues and also passed on-spot directions to concerned officers of Civil ministration for resolving crucial issues of border residents,” J&K government official statement ded.
