Lashing out at Centre, ex-Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Bal on Friday, opined on ongoing farmers' protest and said that Government of India is responsible for woes of farmers. Sharing a poster that mocked Government of India's 'Digital India' policy, Harsimrat said that Centre is unable to understand that food cant be provided via digital means. poster re, "You can make Digital India, but chapati cant be downloed using Google." Harsimrat Kaur said that it is strange that Centre is unable to understand it.

Harsimrat Bal h resigned from her cabinet post and Akali Dal snapped its 35-year ties with BJP, protesting against Farm Laws. While several states like Punjab, Maharashtra, Telangana, West Bengal, Chhatisgarh have pledged to 't implement se laws', Akali Dal supremo Parkash Singh Bal has returned his Pma Vibhushan, as a mark of protest.

Centre to meet farmers again on December 5

Earlier on vember 3, fourth round of talks between Centre and farmers' unions concluded without any significant progress. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar anunced that y would meet again at 2 pm on December 5. Besides him, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and MoS Commerce Som Parkash represented Centre in deliberations.

Revealing that discussion took place in a good atmosphere, Tomar stated that Union government is willing to discuss unions' objections pertaining to points such as strengning APMC, regulating private Mandis, dispute resolution and apprehensions over MSP. Moreover, he exuded confidence of two sides reaching a consensus on Saturday. On or hand, farmer unions remained stefast in ir demand for repeal of  Farmers' Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020,  Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020 and  Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
