JNU Vice-Chancellor M Jagesh Kumar said on Thursday exams would be held as per schedule even as students boycotted it in protest over hostel fee hike. Kumar said varsity ministration was open for dialogue and interests of bonafide students was a top priority.

" university is committed to helping bonafide students who wish to write ir exams and complete ir acemic requirements. interests of bona fide students is a top priority to university," M Jagesh Kumar told media.

varsity h a meeting with office-bearers of International Students' Association of JNU who h shared problems being faced by m as ir visa validity is going to expire. y were assured that ir situation would be looked into.

"In order to facilitate evaluation of ir courses, it is only appropriate that an alternative evaluation process needs to be opted," varsity h said on Wednesday. For example, ditional assignments/sessionals/term papers may be given to m in lieu of term-end semester examinations, varsity ded.

Kumar said university h always encourd dialogue and discussion and would continue to do it. On being asked wher varsity would hold a dialogue with protesting students, he told reporters that "any student is welcome for a dialogue with JNU ministration".
