'All efforts are being made to get back the accused, including Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi. I assure you that none of them will be left out and various different forces of the country are working overtime to bring all the culprits to justice. In front of the judiciary, all are equal, and irrespective of who they are, they cannot run away from the Indian government. It will take time, but the Home and External Affairs departments are working towards punishing the criminals.

Earlier on Thursday, in a sensational scoop, Republic TV had aired an exclusive newsbreak regarding tracking down the London 'addresses' of Nirav Modi who is on the run having fled from India weeks before the stunning Rs 12,000 crore bank scam he's accused of came to light. The Gitanjali Gems chief's hideouts in London have also been mentioned in extradition notices that have been served to Nirav Modi by the CBI.

Nirav Modi's first alleged address is in London's Westminster area, while the second is located next to the Tower of London. Over the course of a two-day effort to visit the addresses, Republic TV's Senior News Editor Shawan Sen managed to make it to the thirteenth floor at the first address where he received no response upon knocking on door 103 which is the flat in question. However, he spoke to an agitated Indian-sounding resident of the adjacent flat, who immediately threatened to call the police upon hearing that there was a visitor for the neighbouring flat. Shawan was also interrogated by the building's manager who appeared to be taking an inordinate interest in how much he knew about Nirav Modi and his whereabouts. Finally, Shawan had text conversations with both Nirav Modi and his brother Neeshal, whom he also spoke to in some amount of detail over the phone.

The massive Rs 12,000+ crore PNB bank scam, involving fraudulently issued Letters of Undertakings (LoUs) had come to light in February. However, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi were able to escape India before the full details of their doings emerged and their whereabouts had been a subject of speculation ever since. A few weeks ago, Republic TV obtained confirmation from the Prime Minister of Antigua that Mehul Choksi had become a citizen of the West Indian island nation.
