Surat: Surat witnessed a shocking case of medical fraud as a group of individuals with fake qualifications opened a full-fledged hospital in city's Pandesara area. Janseva Multispecialty Hospital was inaugurated with much fanfare, even listing high-ranking ministrative and police officials as guests—without ir knowledge or consent.

Unmasking Fake Degrees

Preliminary investigations revealed that at least two of five co-founders held fake degrees. One of m, who claimed to have an Ayurvedic medicine degree, has a history of violations under Gujarat Medical Practitioners' Act. Anor co-founder, who professed to hold a degree in electro-homeopathy, also faces legal charges under same act.

credentials of remaining co-founders are under scrutiny. One of m is reportedly facing multiple legal cases, including under Prohibition Act, raising furr doubts about ir qualifications. In a bizarre attempt to gain credibility, hospital’s inauguration pamphlet featured names of prominent officials, including Surat Municipal Commissioner and senior police officers. However, none of officials were aware of event and did not attend.
