Farmer's death at Ghazipur border while protesting against farm laws disturbing: Akhilesh
A resident of Bhagwanpur Nangal village in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, Singh was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead, an official said.

Samajwi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yav on Saturday termed death of a 57-year-old farmer due to heart attack while protesting against Centre's new farm laws at Ghazipur border as "disturbing", and accused ruling BJP of being "heartless".
In a Hindi tweet, he said, "On first day of new year itself, news of martyrdom of a farmer at Ghazipur border is disturbing. farmers are sacrificing ir lives in dense fog and cold, but ruling party is sitting heartless. ruthlessness seen in BJP has never been seen so far." Mohar Singh died of heart attack while protesting against farm laws at Ghazipur border in Ghaziab on Friday.

Commenting on incident, state president of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), Rajbir Singh, said all farmers who lost ir lives during protest against farm laws must get status of a martyr. Singh's body was wrapped in a BKU flag and union leer Rakesh Tikait paid hom to him. On eve of new year, a tribute was paid to those farmers who died during protest. A candlelight march was also taken out.
