Delhi-NCR Traffic Update: DND Flyway Choked, Several Vehicles Stranded | VIDEO
In the wake of farmers' protests, massive traffic jams were spotted at borders connecting to Delhi.

New Delhi: Heavy traffic snarl seen on Delhi-Noida-Delhi (DND) flyway, as vehicles commute from Delhi to Noida amid heavily guarded Delhi borders in view of farmers' protest. The national capital and its adjoining areas are choked amid multiple traffic diversions. Long queues of cars were seen on Ghazipur, Chilla and Gurugram borders that connect Delhi with Ghaziabad, Noida, and Greater Noida. Multi-layered barricading has been enforced and hundreds of police personnel have been deployed across the borders. Over 500 farmer unions are marching towards the national capital seeking the fulfilment of their demands.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India DY Chandrachud acknowledged the traffic congestion in the National Capital Region (NCR) due to the ongoing farmers' march and assured that arrangements will be made to accommodate lawyers during the court hearings.

Several videos were shared by news agencies and commuters who were stuck in massive jams.
Singhu border Inaccessible
The Singhu Border has become non-accessible, according to the latest update from the Delhi Traffic Police department. There have also been traffic diversions at the Mukarba Chowk.

At the Mukarba Chowk, vehicles heading towards Haryana can divert towards Loni Border or towards Madhuban Chowk onwards to Ring Road, the latest advisory by the Delhi Traffic Police suggests.
Massive security deployment has been done at the Singhu border as farmers head for Delhi. Additionally, concrete barricades have been set up and iron spikes have been erected to thwart protesters.

Vehicular movement that was affected on the Outer Ring Road in the carriageway from Peeragarhi towards Mangolpuri due to breakdown of a truck near Peeragarhi Chowk, is now back to normal as the truck has been towed away, the Delhi Traffic Police said in a post on social media platform 'X'.
Tikri Kalan resident Raja Ram, who works as a labourer, told news agency PTI, "We have nothing to do with any protest, but to reach home after work we are asked to show our identity cards at more than three different places."

Withal, people are also facing hardships due to traffic chaos caused by diversions from different routes from Mundka of Delhi towards Haryana. "There are many schools in villages. Children are facing a lot of difficulty in reaching home. If police have diverted traffic, they must deploy someone to manage it as well," PTI quoted Surender Kumar, a resident of Tikri Kalan village, as saying.
Delhi’s Red Fort Temporarily Closed for Visitors
The historic Red Fort complex – a UNESCO World Heritage Site in old Delhi – has been temporarily closed for visitors due to security reasons, a senior ASI official told news agency PTI, amid a massive deployment of police and paramilitary forces in central Delhi in view of the farmers' march.
Ankit Singh, deputy commissioner of police (DCP), north east district, told news agency ANI, "Section 144 is in place. Bringing in tractor trolleys and assemblies is restricted. The Delhi Police and the CAPF are here. We have prepared to seal the border. We will ensure that no one breaks this border. If there is any untoward incident we will seal it completely."

Heavy vehicular traffic from Noida towards Delhi on the Delhi-Noida-Delhi (DND) road, was seen due to guarded and barricaded routes to prevent protesting farmers from entering the national capital.
Several farmers associations, mostly from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, had called for a protest on February 13 to demand a law guaranteeing Minimum Support Price for crops.
