Festivities in Varanasi as Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits the holy city

What makes the day more special is- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Varanasi, to the place whose voters sent him to Lok Sabha for the second consecutive time in the recently concluded general elections.

Chandra Prakash Jain, a local businessman who h come to get his daily cup of tea, said whole of Varanasi was waiting erly for PM Modi and ded that constituency would ensure PM Modi's win for many more terms in future.

"We welcome Prime Minister Modiji on his first visit to Varanasi post his win in Lok Sabha polls. whole of Varanasi is er to see him and thank him for developmental work he has carried out in Varanasi and country. He will win from here again and will definitely win two or three times more," Jain told ANI in Varanasi.
Sridhar Pandey, an astrologer from Ganga Ghat, said that PM Modi is a unique leer and his love for people kws bounds. Pandey said he h also conducted pujas for Prime Minister on his earlier visits.
"It is unique that a leer is coming to thank people after winning elections. It shows he is a unique and compassionate leer who cares for people. His unceasing, tireless work in past five years has me people love him even more," astrologer said.

"We kw it takes time for development but we want him to finish all good work he has started, especially cleaning of Ganga. I have personally accompanied PM Modi when he did aarti at Ganga ghat in his previous trips, he is a great person," Pandey told ANI.
Ram S Mishra, a local journalist, said that re was doubt about PM Modi's capability but also implored him to take a closer look at work being done in his constituency.

"Kashi h chosen its MP last time but this time we have chosen Prime Minister of country. This is a great achievement for Varanasi and we thank Modiji for enhancing its im in globe," he said.
"We also want him to monitor and assess development work in his second term as MP from this constituency and ensure better use of funds. Kashi thanks PM Modi and will be with him always," said Mishra.

re is energy and excitement in Varanasi, a sentiment summed up in a few lines by Maj, son of iconic Pappu tea stall's owner who is managing shop since morning.
"We will wholeheartedly welcome PM Modi for his rally, he has done great work in constituency and will do much more in future. We have full faith in him and his commitment," Maj said.

preparations for Modi's welcome have been completed and area has been decked up with BJP flags, ribbons and wall paintings of Buddha and or spiritual idols. Cleaning and maintenance work in area has also been completed.
An LED screen has been installed at entrance of Kashi Vishwanath Temple which will live stream visuals from inside when PM Modi offers prayers.
Modi's visit is thing less than a festival for people of his constituency. Dancers, musicians, and acrobats also took to streets of holy city to perform and keep crowds waiting for Prime Minister entertained.
On May 26, Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath also held a meeting with local ministration officials in Varanasi to assess preparations for Modi's visit.
