A day after Telangana High Court expressed displeasure over non-implementation of its earlier orders on COVID-19 related issues, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday directed officials to file an affidavit with all facts on tests and treatment and other relevant information. The court had on July 20 directed senior officials, including the Chief Secretary, to appear before it on July 28 in connection with the matter.

"The Chief Minister instructed the officials concerned to file an affidavit in the High Court on conducting the investigative tests, treatment given and precautions taken while administering the treatment with all facts.

Due to daily hearings, senior doctors and officials who are working day and night treating the patients, were forced to spend more time to prepare for hearings and go to the Court, resulting in them not being able to do full justice to their duties, the release quoted the officials as having said. The officials claimed that compared to other states, the situation in Telangana was better and the percentage of deaths was low.
