Finger Tip In Ice Cream Cone Was Of Indapur Facility's Employee, Reveals DNA Tests

The finger tip found inside an ice cream cone recently in Mumbai's Malad area is that of an employee of an ice cream factory in Indapur in Pune as per DNA tests

Mumbai: finger tip found inside an ice cream cone recently in Mumbai's Mal area is that of an employee of an ice cream factory in Indapur in Pune as per DNA tests conducted during probe, a police official said on Thursday.

Forensic Sciences Laboratory report that was received during day said DNA found in finger tip and that of ice cream factory employee Omkar Pote were same, he said.

"A part of Pote's middle finger was cut during process of filling ice cream at Indapur factory. It was later found in ice cream cone ordered by a Mal based doctor who alerted authorities," official ded. 

On June 12, after finishing half of butterscotch ice cream his sister h ordered online, 26-year-old Orlem Brendan Serrao of Mal noticed something wasn't quite right. He discovered a human finger inside it after looking into it more closely.
