Bathini Harinath Goud, chief organiser of famed 'fish medicine', has anunced that live fish medicine will t be distributed this year due to Coronavirus outbreak, and requested people to t believe any fake news about  distribution.

Every year, Bathini Harinath Goud and his family distribute fish medicine at Exhibition Grounds in Nampally area of Hyderab, wherein lakhs of people from various states visit to consume fish medicine. This program is held with help of state government.

'We request people to t believe any fake news'

"Since last 175 years, we have been distributing Fish Medicine to people who are suffering from respiratory problems. However, this time we have decided t to distribute fish medicine due to COVID-19 outbreak. We request people to t believe any fake news about our distribution," said Bathini Harinath Goud in a video.

According to news ncy ANI, patients are me to gulp down live 'murrel' fish with a yellow herbal paste in its mouth, which is believed to provide relief to people who are suffering from respiratory problems.  Goud family claims that secret formula for herbal medicine was given to ir ancestors in 1845 by a saint after taking an oath from him that it would be ministered free of cost.

family h been distributing fish medicine at ir ancestral house in Doodhbowli till 1997 when communal riots in old city h forced it to shift venue to Nizam College grounds. Subsequently, government persued m to permanently shift venue to Exhibition Grounds.
