In a significant development in the ongoing sub-inspector recruitment exam paper leak scandal, the Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested five trainee sub-inspectors, including two women, on Sunday. The accused were previously detained for questioning before their arrest.

The arrested trainees, identified as Shobha Raika, her brother Devesh Raima, Manju Devi, Avinash Palsania, and Vijendra Kumar, were taken into custody from the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA) and subsequently brought to the SOG office for further interrogation on Saturday. According to an official statement, “Shobha Raika and her brother Devesh Raima are children of former Rajasthan Public Service Commission member, Ramuram Raika.”

The five individuals were produced before a court, where they were remanded in police custody until September 7. The statement revealed, “Among the 61 accused in the sub-inspector recruitment exam-2021 case, three separate chargesheets have been presented so far. Of the 61 accused, 33 are trainee sub-inspectors, four are selected candidates who did not join the service, and 24 are their associates linked with the paper leak gang.”

The search continues for 65 additional individuals connected to the scandal. The case has drawn significant attention as it unfolds, revealing a complex network involved in the alleged corruption.
