Amidst a flood-like situation in Rajasthan, more than 350 students and 50 teachers have been stuck at a school in Chittorgarh for past 24 hours. students and teachers have been confined inside premises because of blocked roads as a consequence of heavy discharge of water from Rana Pratap Dam. According to news ncy ANI, locals have been providing immediate assistance and food to students and teachers who have been stuck in school since Saturday.

IMD had issued an alert

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had, on Saturday, predicted "heavy to very heavy" widespread rainfall in east Rajasthan on Sunday. It had issued a statement saying, "Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall and heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls at isolated places is very likely over East Rajasthan.”

Flood-like situation in M.P

Meanwhile, Incessant rains in Madhya Pradesh have also created a flood-like situation. situation remains dire as rains continue to wreak havoc and claim lives in Madhya Pradesh. A flood-like situation also emerged in Kota after 18 gates of Kota Barr dam were opened, following torrential rains in Madhya Pradesh. In Kota, five and a half lakh cusecs of water had been released so far. In addition to that, parts of Pratapgarh district are also facing a flood-like situation as Mahi and Jakham rivers are flowing above ir rmal mark, following heavy rainfall in region.
