'For the 1st Time in 60 Years...': Amit Shah Praises 'Political Stability' on 100 Days of Modi 3.0
Shah praised the "political stability" and emphasised the efforts of the NDA government for India's growth in the last 10 years.

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday, September 17, praised the "political stability" and emphasised the efforts of the NDA government for India's growth in the last 10 years.
Speaking at a press conference held as Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed the first 100 days of the new government, Shah said, "For the first time after 60 years, there is an atmosphere of political stability in the country and we have also experienced continuity of policies. It is very difficult to enter the 11th year by maintaining the direction of policies, speed of policies and accuracy of implementation of policies for 10 years."
Marking the NDA government's 100 days, Shah emphasised the efforts in strengthening internal security over the past decade and also credited people for trusting the BJP with another opportunity to lead the nation.
"In the last 10 years, the Modi government has been successful in establishing a strong India by strengthening internal and external security... PM Modi brought the New Education Policy which includes our ancient education system and modern education, which also honours our regional languages..." he said.
NDA Govt Cleared Rs 3 Lakh Crore for Roads, Mega Port: Shah
Speaking further during the press conference, Shah announced that it has approved infrastructure projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore so far. These include linking 25,000 unconnected villages to road networks and the construction of a mega port.
The Wadhawan Mega Port in Maharashtra has been approved with a budget of Rs 76,200 crore, and it is set to become one of the top 10 ports in the world. Under the Prime Minister's Rural Roads Scheme-4 (PMGSY-IV), the government has also sanctioned the construction and upgrading of 62,500 km of roads and bridges to connect 25,000 previously unconnected villages, backed by central assistance of Rs 49,000 crore. Many of these villages have populations of fewer than 100 people.
Meanwhile, Rs 50,600 crore has also been allocated to strengthen India's road network, including approval for eight National High-Speed Road Corridor Projects spanning 936 km.
In addition to infrastructure, Shah highlighted that the government has also focused on agriculture by increasing the minimum support price (MSP) for Kharif crops, removing the minimum export price (MEP) on onions and basmati rice, and raising the import duty on crude palm, soybean, and sunflower oils, Shah said at a press conference, accompanied by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw .
