In a significant development in the ongoing sub-inspector recruitment exam paper leak case, former member of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Ramuram Raika was placed under a six-day police remand on Monday. Raika, who was arrested on Sunday night by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police, is alleged to have provided the leaked exam paper from the 2021 sub-inspector recruitment exam to his two children, who subsequently topped the exam.

Raika was presented before Chief Judicial Magistrate Mandvi Rajvi on Monday, who ordered the six-day police remand for further interrogation. This move follows the earlier arrest of Raika's son and daughter, as well as three other trainees connected to the case. The arrests were part of a broader investigation into the paper leak scandal, which has implicated multiple individuals.

"The former RPSC member was arrested late on Sunday for providing the sub-inspector recruitment exam paper to his children. He was presented before the court today from where he was sent to six-day police remand," ADG of SOG V K Singh informed PTI.

On Sunday, the court also addressed the cases of Raika’s children—Shobha and Devesh—as well as three other trainees: Manju Devi, Avinash Palsania, and Vijendra Kumar. All five individuals were taken into custody from the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA) and brought to the SOG office for interrogation.

The investigation so far has led to the filing of three separate charge sheets against a total of 61 accused in the Sub-Inspector Recruitment Exam-2021 paper leak case. This group includes 33 trainee sub-inspectors, four selected candidates who did not join the service, and 24 associates linked to the paper leak gang. The search for the remaining accused is still ongoing, as authorities continue their efforts to address the scandal.

The case has highlighted significant concerns regarding the integrity of the recruitment process and has prompted a thorough examination by law enforcement agencies.
