Four arrested for stealing injections worth Rs 2.24 lakh in Delhi
Four people have been arrested here for reportedly robbing a pharmacy employee of injections worth Rs 2,24,000 used for treating cancer patients, police said on Sunday.

Aman Sharma (26), Vikas Swami (30) and Sakib Khan (28) were arrested for executing robbery on pretext of purchasing injections. Prabhu Jha (32) was arrested for buying se stolen injections, y said.

According to police, Khan, who introduced himself as Sudhir Dixit, called up pharmacy to place order for medicines.
Khan placed order for six injections worth Rs 2,24,000 used for treating cancer patients. He n asked pharmacy employee, Mohd Anas, to hand over medicines to him near Red Fort, y said.

When employee reached venue, Khan asked him to accompany him to Okhla in south east Delhi to receive payment. But ir scooty was overtaken by two bike-borne men, who slapped Anas and took away medicine bag from him, police said.
“A case was registered under IPC sections 392 (robbery) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furrance of common intention) at Sunlight Colony Police Station,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Souast) R P Meena said.

"We received a tip-off that three criminals involved in commission of crime would go to Gurgaon via Kalindi Kunj. We laid a trap and arrested accused,” he said.
During interrogation, accused told police that y knew about medicines as y h worked with pharmacies in city. y planned to steal costly injections as y did t have money due to coronavirus-induced lockdown, DCP said.

accused told police that y sold all injections to Dhruv Jha and Prabhu Jha for Rs 1.10 lakh, he said.
Later, Prabhu Jha was arrested from Geeta Colony area and four stolen injections were recovered from his possession, police said.

DCP said raids were conducted at residence of Dhruv Jha in Loni. He said search is on to find Dhruv Jha who is absconding.
A mobile phone, toy pistol, scooty and motorcycle used in commission of crime have also been recovered, officer ded.
