Four-month-old Tiger Cub Found Dead in MP's Pench National Park
A tiger cub, aged around four months, was found dead in Pench Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district on Sunday. The matter is under investigation.

reserve’s field director Devapras J said staff spotted carcass of big cat while patrolling in Ari buffer range.
All body parts of de tiger cub are intact, he said.

post-mortem on carcass will be done as per protocol laid down by National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA). Samples of tiger cub’s organs are being sent for histopathological and forensic examinations, he said.

As per report ‘Status of Tigers: Co-predators & Prey in India-2022’, released by NTCA and Wildlife Institute of India, Mhya Presh h 785 tigers, highest in country, followed by Karnataka (563) and Uttarakhand (560).
