Gadkari pitches 'swadeshi solution', says "Need to take India ahead in economic war"
In a virtual event organised by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch on Sunday, Nitin Gadkari stressed the importance of increasing export and decreasing imports in India.

Union Minister Nitin Gkari attended a virtual felicitation event organised by Sweshi Jagran Manch on Sunday. During his dress at event, Minister asserted that India needs to decrease import and increase production of 'sweshi' production and exports. Gkari also spoke about need to become competitive in international market while ding that India is on ro to becoming 'aatmanirbhar' in automotive sector. Nitin Gkari also said that he firmly believes that in next five years, India will become world's largest electric vehicles manufacturing hub.
"We should decrease import, and increase export. re is negativity in environment due to COVID-19, we need to build positivity. Positivity will help in winning fight against virus," said Nitin Gkari.

'Export will create employment'
While speaking at Sweshi Jagran Manch's virtual event, Gkari informed that India imports crude oil/petrol/diesel worth Rs 7 lakh crores and if a 'sweshi' solution isn't found soon chances are that this import may increase and go up to Rs.25 lakh crore in future. He furr said that with rural participation, India can create an alternative fuel ecomy worth ₹5 lakh crore.
Union Minister said that vill industries h a turver of Rs. 80,000 crore last year, ding that ministry hopes to increase it to Rs. 1 lakh crore with an aim to push it furr to Rs. 5 lakh crore eventually.

"Reducing import and increasing export will help in creating much-needed employment in India," said Nitin Gkari. He also informed that he has requested Prime Minister to set up an 'import substitute and export-oriented department' which guides ecomy on principles of 'sweshi' and 'swavalamban'. leer said that India is w becoming self-reliant in several sectors including defence and automobiles.

While speaking about automotive sector, he said that while exports have increased, it is essential for us to be able to produce spare parts within country. "India will become world's largest e-vehicle manufacturing hub in next five years with products ranging from two-wheelers, three-wheelers and cars to construction equipment," said Nitin Gkari.
