H Mahatma Gandhi been alive today, he would have anunced a march from Delhi to Srinagar over Centre's move on Article 370, said Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday as he attacked government for scrapping Jammu and Kashmir's special status.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah h "finished" former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's doctrine on resolving J&K issue which was based on principles of "Kashmiriyat" (legacy of Kashmir), "jamhooriyat" (democracy) and "insaniyat" (humanism).

"If Mahatma Gandhi would have been alive on day Article 370 was voided, he would have anunced a yatra from Red Fort in Delhi to Lal Chowk in Srinagar, he said.

Digvijaya Singh stokes controversy
Digvijaya Singh, infamous for his contentious statements has yet again whisked a controversy by stating that ricalisation of Hindus is as dangerous as ricalisation of Muslims.
Referring to Pakistan PM Imran Khan's 50-min lengthy speech at UN General Assembly, senior Congress leer said that it would be difficult for nation in case re is 'ricalisation of majority,' similar to that in Pakistan.
