Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 69 on Tuesday 17, September. Several leaders and netizens took to social media to wish the Prime Minister. Former Indian cricketer turned Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Gautam Gambhir was also one amongst the many tweeting out birthday wishes.
Prime Minister is “honour of the country”: Gambhir
While wishing the Prime Minister, Gambhir wrote that “PM Modi gives the same respect to Parliament and his mother and bows only before them. We are proud of such a Prime Minister. Narendra Modiji is the honour of the country. Happy birthday to the Prime Minister @narendramodi.”
Kohli wishes Modi
Joining the ranks of many leaders, celebrities, and sportspersons wishing the Prime Minister, Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kohli also sent out his birthday wishes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a packed schedule
Social media is abuzz with supporters and followers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi extending their best wishes to him on his 69th birthday. Late on Monday, the Prime Minister reached Ahmedabad and was welcomed by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at the airport. PM Narendra Modi has a packed schedule and will spend a better part of the day in Gujarat, where he will pay a visit to the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river to kick off the Namami Narmade festival.
Raising slogans and cheering for the Prime Minister
Outside the airport, the atmosphere was euphoric with people raising slogans and cheering for the Prime Minister. PM Modi also acknowledged his supporters and waved at them from the front seat of his vehicle. Delhi’s BJP unit also celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday at India gate on midnight today.
