As Satya Pal Malik will take charge of Goverr position of Goa, Girish Chandra Murmu has been appointed as new Lieutenant Goverr of Jammu and Kashmir. Served as principal secretary to n CM of Gujarat Narendra Modi, Girish Chandra Murmu was an Indian ministrative Services Officer of Gujarat cre. During his service in Gujarat, he held key ministrative operations in state and currently, he is Secretary in department of expenditure at Ministry of Finance.
To take charge on October 31
speculations of Satya Pal Malik becoming Lieutenant Goverr of Jammu and Kashmir were floating till time it was revealed that Girish Chandra Murmu will take charge. State of Jammu and Kashmir will be transitioning into two Union Territories by October 31 and that is when Girish Chandra Murmu will take to office. two new Union Territories will be kwn as Lakh and Jammu and Kashmir, where Jammu and Kashmir will have its own assembly constituency.

Provisions for government employees in 2 UTs
As per an anuncement me by Home Ministry, “ financial facilities being given to employees of or Union Territories (UT), as per recommendations of 7th CPC, would soon be extended to employees of UT of Jammu and Kashmir and UT of Lakh. Accordingly, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has approved proposal of payment of all 7th CPC allowances to Government employees of UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Lakh, which shall come into existence from October 31, 2019. Union Home Ministry has issued orders in this regard. move will benefit 4.5 lakh Government employees, who are working in existing State of Jammu & Kashmir and will become employees of UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Lakh from October 31, 2019. annual financial implication of 7th CPC allowances like Children Education Allowance, Hostel Allowance, Transport Allowance, LTC, Fixed Medical Allowance, etc.
