Goa Airport closed temporarily after drop tank of MIG 29K catches fire

The Goa Airport has been closed temporarily for a few hours owing to a fire which was caused by the drop tank of MiG 29K which got detached whilst taking off.

Update: The Indian Navy has informed that the flight operations have been resumed at Goa Airport.

The Goa Airport has been closed temporarily for a few hours owing to a fire which was caused by the drop tank of MiG 29K which got detached whilst taking off.

Officials have ensured that all efforts are working to resume flights as soon as possible. 

They have also informed that the MiG 29K fighter aircraft is safe.

The Goa Airport also tweeted about the incident and requested passengers to bear with them.
