Addressing a press conference here, Palyekar said file for setting up State Fisheries Corporation, which would be dal ncy to oversee supply of subsidised fish, was at final st of approval when he was state fisheries minister. Palyekar and two or GFP ministers were dropped from state cabinet on July 13 this year.

"We were shocked that Sawant on July 25 this year rejected file without specifying any reason. Providing subsidised fish to people was one of prominent assurances in Goa Forward Party's election manifesto," Palyekar said. " chief minister had also assured Goa Assembly that corporation would be formed. He should tell people of state why he took such a decision," GFP leader said.

CM Sawant and Goa Fisheries Minister Philip Neri Rodrigues could t be contacted despite repeated attempts.
