Goa govt appoints consultant to finalise RFP for coal block in MP

The Goa government on Friday selected a consultant to finalise the Request For Proposal (RFP) to appoint Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) for the Dongri Tal Coal Block in Madhya Pradesh allocated for state-run Goa Industries Development Corporation (GIDC).

Goa government on Friday selected a consultant to finalise Request For Proposal (RFP) to appoint Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) for Dongri Tal Coal Block in Mhya Presh allocated for state-run Goa Industries Development Corporation (GIDC).

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired meeting organised by Public Private Partnership (PPP) cell of state government to review issue of RFP for coal block.

steering committee of PPP cell met to review progress on RFP for coal block at Mhya Presh. Three companies h shown interest to be finalisation of RFP, Sawant told reporters after meeting.

He said that one of company with previous experience in field has been selected as a consultant to prepare RFP to appoint MDO for project.

Sawant said that RFP would be issued by vember 10, 2020. Dongri Tal Coal block at Singrauli in Mhya Presh was allocated to Goa as a part of fifth tranche of allotment by Union Coal Ministry.

Goa was supposed to ink agreement with ministry by October 30, 2019 but due to lack of funds, GIDC decided to select an MDO, who could pay performance and bank guarantee for coal block on behalf of state.
