On Tuesday, September 23, police began investigating a poster that was inviting people for a nude party in Morjim in North Goa. The poster went viral on social media after it was posted on Monday. "No offence has been registered yet, but we have started a preliminary probe. There is no date advertised on the poster and only one contact number was given," Superintendent of Police (SP) Crime Branch, Pankaj Kumar Singh said. The poster mentioned that 15-20 foreigners and more than 10 Indian girls will be there in the proposed party. "We are tracking the identity details of the person who owns the phone number," Pankaj Kumar Singh said.

Goa Police bans public drinking
The Goa government introduced a bill which bans drinking and cooking in open spaces including on the beaches. The bill can lead to a fine of Rs 2,000 for an individual and Rs 10,000 for a group of people who violate the law. No person engaged in the business of sale of liquor "will allow its customer to carry bottles/cans containing liquor in tourist places", the bill claims. The introduction to the bill says its objective is to protect and preserve tourism potential of tourist places in Goa and keep them clean and free of nuisance. Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar also introduced an amendment to the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 2019, which makes it mandatory for hotels and other tourism establishments to register with the department if they want to provide services online.
