Vijay Goel condemns JNU violence, blames Congress-backed student bodies
Rajya Sabha MP, Vijay Goel, on Sunday night, visited the AIIMS hospital after violence broke out within the JNU campus following their protests for fee hike.

Rajya Sabha MP, Vijay Goel, on Sunday night, visited AIIMS hospital after violence broke out within JNU campus following ir protests for fee hike. Reportedly, a mob of masked people gared inside campus with lathis and rods and started hitting students and faculty members. Many of students that were injured during violence were taken to AIIMS and Safdarjung hospital after incident.

Speaking about violence that broke out within JNU campus on Sunday, January 5, BJP MP, Vijay Goel said, "I am here to visit injured JNU students. Many students have claimed that y have been attacked and I have seen that a lot of se students are in a deplorable condition. Doctors are continuously assessing m. I think whole incident that has taken place is very unfortunate, environment created within JNU is really wrong."

" student federations of Congress within JNU campus and or bodies like SFI or AISA have a major role to play in this. y have been organising various protests and agitations within JNU campus from start. This is disturbing or students’ education. re should definitely be registration, people who are trying to register mselves, why are y being stopped?" he added.

Registration process disrupted
JNU's Registrar issued a statement on Sunday and explained how violence broke out within campus. statement read, "From 1 January 2020, Winter semester registration was going on smoothly. However, on 3rd January, a group of students opposing registration process entered Communication and Information Services (CIS) premises, covering ir faces with masks and forcibly evicted technical staff and made servers dysfunctional. This led to discontinuation of registration process on 3rd January."

"A police complaint was filed immediately identifying students. However, on 4th January morning, technical staff again made CIS functional. Immediately, thousands of students started registering by paying new hostel room rent. A group of students who are bent upon stopping registration process again entered CIS premises with a criminal intent to make servers dysfunctional."
