New Delhi: In a significant boost for Uttar Presh’s infrastructure, a new expressway linking Ghaziab to Kanpur is set to reduce travel time by a substantial three hours. This upcoming expressway will join rapidly expanding network of highways in state, enhancing connectivity across key regions.

Once completed, expressway will reduce travel time from 8 hours to just 5 hours. 380-kilometer-long Greenfield Expressway, named Ghaziab-Kanpur Expressway, aims to significantly shorten route from Delhi-Ghaziab to Kanpur. Currently, this journey takes around 7 to 8 hours, but with new expressway, it will take only about 5.5 hours.

 Ghaziab-Kanpur Expressway: Connecting 9 Districts of UP

Connecting nine major districts—Ghaziab, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Kasganj, Farrukhab, Kannauj, Unnao, and Kanpur— expressway is expected to ease traffic and stimulate regional development. project will pave way for industrial centers to be set up along its route, fostering ecomic growth in se regions.

 Ghaziab-Kanpur Expressway: Greenfield Expressway

As a greenfield project, expressway is initially planned with four lanes, with potential for expansion to six lanes in future. One of its unique features is that it may eventually connect to ida’s Jewar Airport, furr enhancing Kanpur’s connectivity.

expressway will link NH-9 (Ghaziab-Hapur Highway) in rth to Kanpur-Luckw Expressway in south. Originally planned as a route from Hapur to Kanpur, project w includes a 60-kilometer connector ro from Hapur to Meerut Expressway, enhancing connectivity for both Hapur and Meerut.

Completion By 2026

Construction has alrey begun, and expressway is slated for completion by 2026. Once operational, it will greatly improve accessibility from Delhi-NCR to Kanpur and or cities across Uttar Presh.
