Good News for MCD Employees: AAP Announces Diwali Bonus of Over Rs 60 Crore

New Delhi:  AAP-led Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has declared a Diwali bonus fund exceeding Rs 60 crore for its employees, as announced by Mayor Shelly Oberoi. This initiative aligns with Ex-Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal 's commitment to recognize and support hard work of civic body staff.

Details of Bonus

total fund released for Diwali bonus amounts to Rs 60.51 crore. non-productivity Linked Bonus (NPLB) for fiscal year 2023-24 will benefit Group C employees and Group B non-gazetted employees who have completed at least six months of service. Eligible employees will receive a bonus of Rs 6,908 on a pro-rata basis.

Support for Daily Wage Workers

Daily wage employees who have worked for a minimum of 240 days over last three financial years will receive a bonus of Rs 1,108.

Streamlined Distribution Process

To facilitate timely distribution of bonuses, MCD has introduced a customized Bonus Disbursal Application. This application will directly credit bonus amounts to employees' bank accounts, minimizing delays and reducing manual processes. In cases where application cannot be used, physical bills will be prepared for disbursement by Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO).
