Telangana government brings back 16 labourers stranded in Iraq for 2 years
The Central and Telangana government on Saturday brought back sixteen Telangana laborers, who were stranded in Iraq for more than two years.

Thanks to rigorous efforts of Central and Telangana state government, sixteen Telangana labourers, who were stranded in Iraq for more than two years, returned to India on Saturday. labourers hailed from different regions of Telangana. ir nts cheated m and sent m to Middle Eastern country on fake promise of finding work for m.
While speaking to a news ncy, one of rescued labourers said, "I h been stranded in Iraq for years and faced severe problems. I was sent re on a tourist visa by an nt who promised me I would find work re."

Labourers post video asking for help
matter came into tice when labourers took to ir social media accounts and posted videos dressed to Telangana government, asking for help. y spoke about problems and hardships that faced upon leaving India. labourers h also appealed to government to help m come back home to India.
After videos spre on social media, Telangana government sprung into action. Concerned authorities coordinated with Central government to reach out to labourers and arrange for ir repartition to India.

In a similar incident that took place in January, four women hailing from Andhra Presh h also susccessfully appealed to state government for ir early repatriation from Kuwait.

Earlier in day, Minister in Telangana Government K. T. Rama Rao h also taken to his official Twitter handle and h welcomed labourers back to India.
