Kerala too used the help of the miyawaki technique to grow forests, this technique originated in Japan. The technique aims at building native and dense forests. The technique enhances the plant growth and plant density in the area. It ensures that the plant grows 10 times faster and increases the density by 30 times more than the usual. Miyawaki technique a success

Singh also said that the miyawaki technique was previously experimented at the collectorate in Greater Noida on an area of 3,500 sq metres and the results were suitable to take the technique further. With the collaboration with Samsung, the administration decided to perform the technique on 71,000-sq metre dense forests. Singh said, “By what we understand, this is going to be the biggest miyawaki forest in the country,"  According to the statistics, Gautam Buddh Nagar covers approximately 1.5 per cent of the forest cover. This number does not meet the ideal requirement of 33 per cent. Therefore the administration has decided to take the initiative and convert as much as 250 acres of land into the forest in 2019. This will increase the land cover in the area. The Managing Director, Samsung Noida, MS Chang also confirmed continuous support to build the biggest miyawaki forest in the area.
