Gujarat Horror: 3-year-old Girl Raped by Father's Friend

Valsad: A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in Umargam, Valsad, sparking widespread outrage and leading to a bandh in the area on Wednesday. 

Father's Friend Rapes Daughter 

The accused, reportedly a close friend of the girl's father, is said to have committed the crime before fleeing the scene.

As news of the heinous act spread through the community, residents gathered in large numbers outside the Umargam Police Station, demanding immediate action and the arrest of the accused. Tensions ran high as locals expressed their anger, calling for the capital punishment for the accused.

Police officials were quick to respond and assured the crowd that the accused had been apprehended and was expected to be brought back to Umargam by the afternoon. 

Tension Escalates, Authorities announced Bandh in Town

In response to the growing unrest among the locals, authorities announced a bandh in the area, effectively shutting down the town to prevent any further escalation of tensions. The situation remains tense, with a heavy police deployment in place to maintain law and order.

The police have also initiated a thorough investigation into the incident, including conducting a medical examination of the young victim. 

In a similar incident, a teenage girl was raped by her father multiple times in Badlapur town of Maharashtra's Thane district. A 16-year-old girl was allegedly beaten up by her father on multiple occasions, poice informed.

The 54-year-old accused is on the run and the police have launched an operation to trace and nab him.
